KV62: Discovering Tutankhamon has been created with an educational purpose and is suitable for anyone curious about the world of ancient Egypt, without age constraints.

Controls

The application is designed for desktop and can be played using a mouse and keyboard. The main commands are:

• WASD to move
• Spacebar to jump
• Right mouse button to grab objects
• Left mouse button to select
• "I" to enter "Inspection" mode
• "L" to turn on lights
• "P" to use the pickaxe
• "T" to access the task list to be executed

Features

The main feature of our application is the ability to learn by actively interacting with many objects within the tomb, combining the pleasure of learning with that of discovery. It is possible to inspect objects actually found in the tomb, learning significant aspects of Egyptian culture. Interaction is also included in the experience in the form of tasks to be completed, which help the player not only to have fun but also to learn. We aim not to spoil anything! Explore to believe!

This application was created for the Virtual Reality course 2023-2024 at Politecnico of Torino by the team composed of Marta Cozzi, Anna D’Agnese, Virginia Ermondi, Bianca Mastroianni, and Mattia Morgut.
